ELIGIBILITY: This competition is open to all competitors born in 2004 or later. All competitors must be individual members of USA Shooting.
RESIDENCE: Each competitor may claim residence in only one state and must declare the state of residence on the entry form. Residency is defined by where the competitor holds a current and valid driver’s license. If the competitor does not have a driver’s license, residency is then defined by where the competitor’s parents/guardians reside. A shooter may compete as a non-resident in a state JO to qualify for the National Junior Olympic Championships; however, he or she will not be eligible for state awards. Residents are eligible for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place USA Shooting State Champion medallions. Non-residents may compete for automatic invitations to the National Championship and are encouraged to do so.
ENTRY: Athletes may shoot in more than one state championship, but only the scores from the first state match will be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS. State hosts must be notified by the shooter prior to the match if they have already competed in a state championship. Juniors from states that are not holding a state JOSC and those who cannot attend their own state JOSC will be allowed to enter the non-resident division in another state. At entry, non-resident juniors must declare that they are shooting for a non-resident invitation.
CATEGORIES: The following categories will be based on the age the competitor will be on the first day of record fire of the competition: U21, U18, and U15.
RULES: International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) rules will govern.
COACHING: In accordance with ISSF rules, coaching is permitted during pre-event training, provided it does not disturb other competitors. During the match, non-verbal coaching is permitted, provided the coach remains off the field.

Lunch will be available for purchase by non-athletes. Lunch and a t-shirt are included as part of the athlete's entry fee.
